Conference Tourney Edges Are Everywhere Right Now

Conference Tournaments Are a Goldmine (If You Know Where to Look)

Conference tournaments are different from the regular season. The intensity changes. Teams that sleepwalked through February suddenly play like their season depends on it. Because it does.

That creates volatility. And volatility creates edges.

Here's what I've been doing: leaning hard on Bettor Odds and Unabated for CBB right now. Both tools are special for the tournament season. Bettor Odds surfaces matchup data that matters more in single elimination. Unabated's conference tournament filters let you isolate the games where the models are most confident.

Three things to watch:

1. First half lines are softer. Books set tournament lines with less data because these matchups are often first-time meetings. The opening 1H spread is where you'll find the most value.

2. Momentum matters more. A team on a 3-game win streak entering their conference tournament is a different animal than their season average suggests. Tools like Outlier let you filter recent performance to spot these.

3. Under-seeded mid-majors. Books respect seeds too much in the early rounds. When a 7-seed has been playing top-25 caliber basketball for the last month, the market doesn't always catch up.

Don't overthink it. Pull up the tournament brackets on Bettor Odds, filter for games where the tool shows value, and cross-reference with Unabated's closing line projections. That's the process.
